
Dr. Ashley L. Ware an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, and a member of the Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Center at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her main research interests are about healthy and disordered brain development across the lifespan. She uses advanced MRI techniques to study the brain, and has studied the brain and behavior in children, professional and retired athletes, Veterans, and patients with neurological disorders.
Currently, Dr. Ware is leading the Atlanta Fighter Study in Atlanta, GA, which aims to understand brain health and prevent injury in amateur and professional fighters (boxers, MMA, Jui Jitsu) and non-contact sport athletes.
Dr. Ware enjoys teaching, and currently mentors undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students as part of the Clinical Psychology, Cognitive and Neural Science, and Developmental Psychology PhD programs in the Department of Psychology at the University of Utah.
